What is your most thriving experience at Engelhart?

Learning, sharing experiences and dealing with our overseas teams and their different cultures is extremely enriching.

How do our culture and values resonate with you, and how do you think you apply them to your daily routine?

The flat structure allows greater dynamism, autonomy, and agility. In my daily life this is reflected by solving problems with less bureaucracy.

How would you describe your expertise at Engelhart? What edge does it bring to your team and the company?

My expertise is in international commodity export operations. I am responsible for coordinating execution of FOB and CFR freight contracts of goods from Brazilian and Argentinian origin. Along with my experience and training in Argentina, Switzerland and London it has given me an opportunity to build a stronger team. Our team supports other departments meet their contractual commitments in line with market practice.

Please describe an experience/opportunity at Engelhart that has been meaningful for your career path

The opportunity to attend a FOSFA (The Federation of Oils, Seeds and Fats Associations) course in London. Additionally, to support our traders by being responsible for handling CFR contracts which gave me more visibility of market players and practices.

What do you consider the most valuable piece of advice you’ve ever received at Engelhart and where did it come from?

We should look at a problem as a challenge to make us stronger – we shouldn’t quit at the first sign of a problem. This is something I have passed on to the team. This invaluable advice came from a certain leader, and it continues to help me look at issues as challenges which in turn will help me grow.

What is the biggest career obstacle you’ve overcome while at Engelhart and how did you do it?

I decided to take on new responsibilities that until then were held by other teams abroad. With support from our manager, we proved that these activities could be handled by the Brazilian team. It was a challenge because I had no specific training and I had to seek knowledge to overcome certain barriers. It certainly made me stronger and gave me the chance to share more knowledge with the team.
